The “Liceo Giuliano Della Rovere”, founded in 1888, is a secondary school situated in Savona, a town in the north- west of Italy.
Located in a remarkable old building on the top of Monturbano hill, it is named after Pope Julius II (1443-1513) , famous for his patronage of art and literature. The quiet, bright setting with a view over the town, the presence of trees and some green areas, make it a suitable place to study. Another advantage is the fact that the town library is positioned right in the central part of the building which means you can use this facility whenever you like.
Our school covers all the mainstream subjects and is further divided into three different departments: Modern Foreign Languages, “Socio- Psico-Pedagogico” and Social Sciences, giving pupils the opportunity to choose a branch of studies most suited to their abilities and interests.

MAIN CHARACTERISTICS:
The department has the help of mother tongue assistant teachers and is experienced in helping pupils with varied language experience.
There are exchanges, trips, correspondence links and opportunities to take part in a variety of MFL activities such as Comenius Projects.
WORK OR STUDY OPENINGS: teacher of MFL, interpreter and translator, PR in public companies, jobs in tourism.

The Social Sciences department is further divided into three branches: Sport Sciences, “Socio- Sanitario”, Communication.
VOCATIONAL SUBJECTS:

Sport Sciences option: it offers preparation programs designed to provide rich learning experiences in the field of Physical Education and a variety of activity and fitness courses designed to meet the needs and interests of our students.
“Socio-Sanitario” option: this course especially specializes in the study of Chemistry, Biology and Maths.
Communication option: it focuses on media studies and in particular the different means of communication such as advertising, internet etc.
